Rehearsal

  • Every leaders must send me every details for each activity (including the procedure, list of materials, quantity of materials needed, allocation of time and etc.) by tonight before 10pm . One minute late, FINE RM1.
  • Suet Choon and Kean Vonn please get your script and costume ready, and if need help, do voice out.
  • Everyone please think of what we should give them as souvenir.
  • Tomorrow after IO lecture, will have a full rehearsal at Suet Choon's house. All must come and no more excuses this time!

    For your information, the rehearsal may stay until very late as tomorrow is the last chance for all of us to rehearse everything and get everything prepared and well-organized. Remember that, organizing a camp, is not that you do your part and i do my part, then that's it. Everyone must be clear for each and every details for the flow. So, please do contribute and sacrifice your time as well.
    Anything that need to buy, prepare or whatsoever please get it ready. Leaders please remind us if there is anything that we can help, or need us to bring along.
    The center has projector, so every leader please discuss with your team whether or not you guys need it. If yes, please prepare your own slides.
    Hopefully we will have a great time by working together in getting our things done.

      1. Gather all the kids in one location by the help of facilitators
      2. Make sure that every kids have his or her own drawing materials (eg: color pencils, scissor, pencil and etc)
      3. 2 instructors will giving instruction and guiding the kids to draw (huigee giving command and speech while chingsik showing the fish, turtle, seahorse and whale which drawn by ourselves)
      4. chingsik will also going to approach the kids and showing the fish and...examples to the kids
      5. After 20 minutes, one cardboard will be given by instructors to let those kids to hang their fish and...on the cardboard by using lines and branch by the help of facilitators or instructors
      6. Estimated times in this activity is 30 minutes.
      7. The completed aquarium will showing to all the kids after accomplishing all the activities at that day

    2. VOLCANO
      Procedure:
      1) Make the eruption of volcano when almost the end of the ice breaking session.
      2) Aliens bring the kids over, we explain about the volcano to them by showing the cartoon type of volcano then the real volcano.
      3) After that, we will be teaching them the structure of volcano (eg: crater, vent, ashes, lava, magma) and ask them to name the structure on the volcano that we already made.
      4) 2 groups of the kids will be combined in the volcano making activity. 2 volcano making session will be conducting at the same time.
      5) Me and Julia will tell them about the procedures and allow them to do it on their own (eruption not included in this part).
      6) Next, we will demonstrate the eruption of volcano and ask them to do it on their volcano.
      7) After we finish the whole session, Aliens will bring the kids to the next station.

    3. Ice Breaking
      Procedure:
      1)4 of us will meet with the children where the children gather at a place.
      2)chia yun will be the open small mc(just give some brief introduction of v four)
      3)then v will distribute the animal to children randomly, as four of us have one animal card that represent us. children then go to the animal that card match with the facilitator.
      4)after divide group, ask children draw on the paper(puppet )
      5)teach children the slogan of group--introduce the group
      6)small meeting(1-2 minute)to teach kids to play the game.
      7)guide and stay beside kids till end of program

      material

      25 minute will ok to conduct the whole process.

    4. Let’s Do Sandwiches

      Person in-charge:
      Tai Wan Huey, Chor Chee Theng, Tan Chuu Yih and Yap Teng Fai

      4 Stations:
      Bread, Eggs, Vegetables and Ketchup

      1 At first, all of the children will be gathered in a large space to start this session. Every group sends out one representative who going to collect the task envelop from us. Task envelop consist of the sequences of the stations that each group have to go to collect their sandwiches’ ingredients and the steps of making sandwiches.

      2 Leader will explain based on the information of the tasks which are given to each group.

      3 Demonstrate the steps of collecting ingredients by go to each station by station. Remind them about the manners of asking ingredients from the person in-charge of each station.

      4 After demonstration, facilitators of each group need to explain and discuss with the children for better understanding. Then only start their tasks.

      5 Each station takes about 3min, so total take about 12min to go through all 4 stations.

      6 Complete collecting all ingredients, facilitators leading the children to make sandwiches step-by-step.

      7 Before start their meal, they need to invite Aliens and wash their hands.

      The whole session takes about 40min.
